Campbelltown Eagles travelled to Ringrose Park Wentworthville and the Eagles posted first points when flying fullback Amano Tovio went over to score for the Eagles, Stephen Harding converted to go to an early 6-0 led, a penalty goal in front was another gift 2 points for the Eagles with Stephen Harding converting. Wenty hit back with a converted try to bring it back to 8-6, another penalty goal just before half-time seen the Eagles go into the first half with a 10-6 led.
Wentworthville was first to score after the break and led for the first time in the game 12-10, but it was the try of the day when a cleaver backline play seen Amano Tovio put a kick through to flying winger Pele Leuluai to score in the corner, Harding again converted for the Eagles to hit the lead 16-12, with 15 minutes remaining Wentworthville scored in the corner to level it up 16 all, Wentworthville again pressured the Eagles defence and came up with a try under the posts to hit the lead 22-16 and when they got a field goal with 6 minutes remaining it put the game out of reach for the Eagles 23-16, best for the Eagles were James Leuluai, Amano Tovio, Pat Franks and Faitosa Asa.
Group 6 A Grade Camden Rams 24 def East Campbelltown Eagles 22
East Campbelltown Eagles played Camden Rams at Hillier Oval Liverpool, with the Liverpool council injecting much needed funding into Hillier Oval, it has made it a great venue for Group 6 A Grade Rugby League and bought it back to the Liverpool area. With a large healthy crowed on hand they witnessed a tough and gruelling encounter that seen Camden sneak away with the win 24-22 Tries for East Campbelltown were William Ahakovo, Fred Tevega, Sanelle Fauula and Brett Rixon with Michael Stevens kicking 3 from 4.
Group 6 Reserve Grade East Campbelltown Eagles 30 def Camden Rams 20
East Campbelltown Eagles and Camden Rams put on a great game of Reserve Grade footy for the Eagles to score two late tries and take the win . The Rams led 20-18 before the young guns of East Campbelltown put on the try of the night through some entertaining passing and backing up, Tries for the Eagles were Mona Nonu-Seiuli, Jonathon Loupepa, Jimmy Laulilli and Players Player Roland Gloss scoring 2 tries and kicking 5 Goals.
The East Campbelltown Eagles under 18's Number 1 and 2 teams both had the byes this weekend.
