Campbelltown Eagles def Chester Hill Rhinos 6 April 2009

Chester Hill had an ordinary start right from the kick off when the ball was kicked out on the full and then 4 minutes later the Campbelltown Eagles were over for a try to Levi Freeman; Levi missed converting his own try. The Eagles had a few opportunities to score but it was at the 22nd minute mark when Levi Freeman scored again through a Samuel Hoare pass and Freeman missed the conversion for the Eagles to race to an 8-0 led.

27 minutes into the game a great placed kick from Luke James seen Teason Fa'avae-Eli score and when he converted his own try the Eagles went to a 14-0 led, 2 minutes later the Eagles were in again through Troy Gibbs scoring under the posts and Teason Fa'avae-Eli converted to take the Eagles to a handy 20- nil lead. 8 minutes from half time seen Teason Fa'avae-Eli receive 10 minutes in the bin for a professional fowl and when the Eagles dropped the ball Tuki Jackson from the Rhinos scooped it up and race away for a try, the kick from Steve Spillio missed, so the teams went into the break with the Eagles 20, Rhinos 4

In the second half it took 2 minutes for replacement player John Da-Silva to score when he took the most of a Gibbsy offload and Albert Hopoate missed the Kick for the Eagles to go to a 24-4 led. 10 minutes in Luke James put Albert Hopoate through a gapping hole and when Teason Fa'avae-Eli converted they race to a 30-4 led. Lock Troy Gibbs was put on report for a high tackle at the 15 minute mark, 7 minutes later Chester Hill player Darren Brown was sent to the sin bin through mouthing off and the Eagles capitalised and scored 3 minutes later through another Luke James kick, with Amano Tovio popping up out of nowhere to score out wide and again Teason Fa'avae-Eli converted and the Eagles hit 36-4, the next set of 6 seen another Chester Hill player Cliff Nye put in the bin and frustration to the Rhinos was setting in. To the Rhinos credit they fought till the end and were rewarded with 2 late tries, 1 to Keiran Croft with 9 minutes to go and the other was sin binned player Cliff Nye with 5 minutes to go, scoring as soon as he returned onto the field. Steve Spillio converted to finish the game Campbelltown Eagles 36 - Chester-Hill Rhinos 16.
