Eagles trophy cabinet looking great!
The Campbelltown Eagles entered 3 teams in the Cabramatta International Nine A-Side tournament. sides from
Somoa, Tonga, Fiji, Japan and a Australian Abouriginal team competed in the competition. The Campbelltown Eagles displaying there new young talented signings in Wayde Dunley, Pat Franks, Allan Soultan, Ben Baker while last years stars Samuel Hoare and Amaono Tovio have returned to a very strong Campbelltown outfit. The Eagles played good competition to make the grand final, defeating Sydney Bulls and Wentworthville Premier League, they match up against Cabramatta to win the Plate Grand Final.
Eagles had further success when there first grade side made the bowl Grand Final to defeat Penrith Brothers Bundaberg Cup team 12-8, captain Chris Standing praised the East Campbelltown team saying that his side played extremely well playing teams from Bundaberg Cup to Premier League standard, they are looking for a great group 6 season, the 3rd East Campbelltown team was defeated in the final.
The East Campbelltown Juniors has registrations on every Saturday in Februay from 10am till 2pm at Waminda Oval, all players welcome.
This Saturday the 13th of February, the East Campbelltown Eagles have trial games against Camden at kirkham Park, the Under 18's Kick off at 2,45pm while The Campbelltown Eagles Bundaberg Cup will play the West's Tigers National 20's at 4pm, this game should pack a crowd. The Reserve Grade will be East v Camden at 5.30pm while the 1st Grade will kick off at 6.45
